Day 1:
 16:20  Start of the journey – Departure from Almaty (Almaty-2 Railway Station) to Turkestan. Overnight on the train.
Day 2:
 06:30 Breakfast in the dining car. 
Arrival in Turkestan – the historical and spiritual center of Southern Kazakhstan. 
09:00 Sightseeing program in Turkestan:

  • Tour of the ruins of the ancient city of Otrar, one of the most important cities on the Great Silk Road, and visit to the Arystan-Bab Mausoleum;
  • Lunch at a restaurant in Turkestan;
  • Visit to the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi – a majestic architectural monument included in the UNESCO World-Heritage List;
  • Underground mosque Khilvet;
  • Eastern bathhouse.                                                                                                     

17:30 Flying Theater “Altyn Samuryq” (tickets are sold separately).
20:30 Transfer: return to the train.                                                                                      
22:45 Departure from Turkestan to Samarkand.
Overnight on the train.
Day 3:
 07:00 Arrival in Samarkand – one of the most ancient and famous cities in the world, located in Uzbekistan. 
07:30 Breakfast at a restaurant in Samarkand.
09:00 Sightseeing program in Samarkand:

  • Visit to the Gur-Emir Complex or the Mausoleum of Tamerlane – the architectural jewel of Samarkand;
  • Excursion around Registan Square, home to the magnificent Sherdor, Tillya-Kori, and Ulugbek madrasahs;
  • Lunch at a restaurant in Samarkand.

15:00 Continuation of the tour:

  • Visit to the Hazrat Khizr Mosque and the grand Bibi-Khanym Complex;
  • Visit to Siab Bazaar – the largest market in Central Asia;
  • Check-in at a Samarkand hotel (4*);
  • Free time.

Day 4:
 07:00-10:00 Breakfast in the hotel.
11:00 Check-out.
11:30 Sightseeing program in Samarkand:

  • Visit to the Shah-i-Zinda Ensemble – a unique complex of 14th–15th century mausoleums;
  • Lunch at a restaurant in Samarkand.

15:00 Continuation of the tour:

  • Excursion to the Konigil Meros Paper Factory – an introduction to the ancient technique of handmade Samarkand silk paper;
  • Visit to the Eternal City tourist complex.

19:30 Free time.
21:00 Transfer: return to the train.                                                                                                        
23:00 Departure from Samarkand to Tashkent. 

Day 5:
 06:00 Arrival in Tashkent – the cultural and economic center of Uzbekistan, combining ancient architecture with modern infrastructure. 
07:00-07:30 Breakfast at a restaurant in Tashkent.
09:00 Sightseeing program in Tashkent:

  • Walk around Mustaqillik Square – the main square of Tashkent and a symbol of Uzbekistan’s independence;
  • Visit to the Tole Bi Mausoleum – a unique 14th–15th century architectural monument dedicated to the Kazakh judge and sage;
  • Visit Novruz Park – a cozy place for walking and relaxing among greenery and fountains;
  • Lunch at a Tashkent restaurant;
  • Trip to Chorsu Bazaar, famous for its vibrant atmosphere and architecture, where you can buy food, spices, textiles, and handicrafts;
  • Visit Magic City – the largest all-season amusement park in Asia.

21:00 Transfer: return to the train.
23:43 Departure from Tashkent to Almaty.

Day 6:
 07:00-10:00 Breakfast in the dining car.                                                                    
13:00-14:00 Lunch in the dining car.                                                                              
20:00 Arrival in Almaty (Almaty-2 Railway Station).                                                    
End of the KERUEN EXPRESS tourist route.
