Description
Marianna Pokrovskaya is a leading actress at the Lermontov Theatre. Theatergoers know and remember her from performances of «These Free Butterflies» by L. Gersh, «Uncle Vanya» by A.P. Chekhov, «I Am Not Rappoport» by E. Gardner, «Cherchez La Femme,» and others. For 15 years, she has voiced many characters in Turkish, American, and British films.
The actress dedicates the performance «My Little Oscar» to the memory of her father, Vladimir Zelikovich Katsev.
The novel is based on the letters to God of a ten-year-old boy who is terminally ill. In these letters, he describes his life in the hospital and his friendship with the «Pink Lady,» an elderly nurse who helps him overcome his fear of the inevitable. Thanks to her, in the space of twelve short days, Oskar experiences an entire life. This is a story about learning to enjoy every day, accept life in all its forms, believe, trust, and love. It tells how life is stronger than death, and faith is stronger than fear.
