Alma-Ata Story is a warm, ironic, and surprisingly relatable comedy about life and friendship.
The best storyteller of all time is life itself. We live in our hometown, sometimes without even realizing what incredible stories are unfolding right next door. The story of three friends takes viewers back to the 2000s: the era of push-button phones, dancing to Britney Spears, and carefree fun, behind which lie the first adult decisions and serious trials.
A routine renovation unexpectedly becomes a fateful event and sets off a chain of tragicomic situations leading to an unexpected encounter. This is a story about time-tested friendship, fear of change, and love that can come when you least expect it. Will the characters be able to make an important choice? Will they preserve their friendship and not miss their chance?
