On 23 November, the stage of the Palace of the Republic in Almaty will host the legendary rock opera «Juno and Avos» in the full author's version by Alexei Rybnikov.
For more than 40 years, this love story has remained a symbol of Russian musical theatre and has consistently drawn full houses. «Juno and Avos» is an immortal work by composer Alexei Rybnikov and poet Andrei Voznesensky, in which great music, heartfelt poetry, and a dramatic story merge into a single emotional act.
Almaty will see the full author's version of the production, created by Alexei Rybnikov himself. This staging preserves the authors' original vision with the utmost care and has for many years been regarded as the definitive reading of the legendary rock opera.
The stage will feature the leading artists of the Alexei Rybnikov Theatre and stars of the new generation. The part of Count Nikolai Rezanov is performed by Nikita and Alexander Pozdnyakov — participants in the show «The Voice» — as well as by theatre and film actor Nikolai Drozdovsky.
