On September 22 and 23, Almaty Theatre will host The Multiple Personalities of Milligan, a landmark ballet production that has already captivated audiences with its boldness, depth, and extraordinary emotional power.
The leading role will be performed by Oleg Ivenko, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and an internationally acclaimed ballet star whose name is well known far beyond the theatre stage. Millions of viewers around the world saw him portray the legendary dancer Rudolf Nureyev in the Hollywood film The White Crow, directed by Academy Award winner Ralph Fiennes.
Now, audiences in Almaty will have a rare opportunity to see this outstanding artist in one of the most demanding and remarkable roles of his stage career.
The Multiple Personalities of Milligan is a contemporary psychological thriller in which dance becomes the language of the human mind. The story of a man who lives with dozens of different personalities unfolds as a captivating theatrical journey. Every movement, every musical chord, and every lighting composition reveals the hero's inner struggle, erasing the boundary between reality and imagination.
The production is choreographed by Oleg Gabyshev, winner of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award, leading soloist of the Boris Eifman Theatre, and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
