"Why don't we sing in chorus?"

Concordia - Crossover

Description

A big choral concert in which familiar hits sound in a new way!
About 80 people are participating in the concert!
The concert will be accompanied by a dramaturgically thought-out video sequence on four LED screens, a bright light show, and we have also found a new way of voicing choral groups!

What if Queen, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Imagine dragons, Nirvana and Linkin Park meet on the same stage with folk songs, music from musicals and powerful choral works?

We invite you to the concert "Shall we sing in chorus?" - an evening in which three bright choral groups will show how diverse, modern and exciting choral art can be.

This evening, Only Voice, Ala Club Choir and ARIA Choir will meet on the stage of the Concordia Theater. Each group has its own character, musical style and a special view of choral performance.

THREE CHOIRS - THREE MUSICAL WORLDS

ONLY VOICE

The choir is led by Bogdan Makeev, a senior lecturer and doctoral student at the Conducting Department of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
Queen, Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga, the hit from the HunterX cartoon - the music you know, in an unusual choral a cappella sound with a beatbox.
The program includes We Will Rock You, Bad Guy, Radioactive, Golden, Where is my husband? and other compositions.

ALA CLUB CHOIR

The choir is led by Nadima Tokhtarova, Senior lecturer at the Conducting Department of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Master of Arts.

From folk melodies to world rock classics and music from the cinema: a fragment of the musical Notre Dame de Paris, music from the cartoon "Rio", Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, Stand Up by Cynthia Erivo, the Russian folk song "Mlada", the Latvian folk song Father Thunder in unusual choral arrangements and other works.

Musical traditions, theatricality and the energy of modern hits will meet in one program.

ARIA CHOIR

The team is led by Daulet Zhanibekov, head of the choir of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University.

The program includes What Happens When a Woman Takes Power?, the African song Mamaliye and other works that reveal the power of collective voice, rhythm and musical unity.

Why should you come?

Because the choir is much more than classical works and the academic stage.
This is the powerful sound of dozens of voices, unexpected musical solutions, familiar melodies in a new interpretation and energy that cannot be conveyed in a recording.

"Shouldn't we sing in chorus?" is a concert for those who like to rediscover music, appreciate live performance and want to spend the evening with vivid impressions.
Come listen, be surprised and discover new facets of choral art!
