The electronic project Oligarkh returns to Almaty!
Oligarkh is an original electronic project from St. Petersburg, which creates a unique fusion of modern music and deep layers of Russian culture.
Their intricate conceptual combination of Orthodox choirs, trap, Slavic root music, hip hop and bass with thoughtful hyperlinks and historical references is complemented by exciting video collages created from historical films, documentaries, fairy tales and old TV stories.
The band has performed a large number of shows, including Sziget, Pop-Kultur Berlin, Womex, Oslo World Music Week and tours of China. Oligarkh performed even in very unusual places such as bus stops, public toilets, railway stations or the North Pole.
