Is it true that Chagall could not draw and therefore wrote "like a child"? What do the laws of gravity, biblical themes, and stained glass windows have in common?
At our meeting, we will open the door to the universe of Marc Chagall, a rebel, a genius of the 20th century and the most important romantic in the history of art.
Chagall's whole life is a huge manifesto of love. You will learn the story of his main muse, Bella, who gave the artist wings: he claimed that he did not finish any paintings until he heard her "yes" or "no." We will follow his path, similar to an adventure novel. You will see his rare, impeccable academic work and understand why, for the sake of love and freedom, he deliberately abandoned boring rules in favor of a sincere "childish" view of the world.
We will analyze the main creative drama of his life - a fierce clash with Kazimir Malevich, and find out exactly how Chagall conquered Paris and Pablo Picasso himself, who, by the way, sincerely admired his unique sense of color.
*The ticket price includes admission to the gallery and viewing of the exhibition "Marc Chagall. The Creation of Light"
